CRAZY

The Crossroads Pub, 6-26-10

Thank you to those who came out and supported us at Crossroads in spite of a date change. We really enjoy playing at The Crossroads Pub, and even though technical difficulties reduced us to one speaker for most of our show, we're pleased to have been able to play for you. Thanks for coming out!

Gig Date Change!

Thank you to all our friends who came out to Crossroads Pub last night to see us play! A great crowd showed up, and we were disappointed to have to let everyone know that due to a double-booking, we were not going to play until... today. Our show was pushed back a day and I'm sorry to those whose plans were affected.
On the bright side, "The Square Roots" was there to play, so hopefully those of you who stuck around got a chance to hear them play and had a great time. We talked a bit with The Square Roots and they were a couple of very talented musicians and very gracious people.
I hope as many of you as possible can make it out tonight!

Yellow Rose at Touchstone, June 18th, 2010

Last night we were fortunate to play at "The Touchstone Rose". Spanky, the owner, was celebrating his birthday and chose Paul Walters & the Handsome Hippie to provide the entertainment. The show was fantastic, and the spirited members of the crowd frequently joined in with us on some of their favorite songs. This evening was definitely the way to get the weekend started off right! Thanks to all who made it out. We had a blast. We hope to see you at the Rose again soon!

Private Party, June 4, 2010

We played a private graduation party at the beginning of June. It was tough to get video, but we were able to have someone capture an excerpt of us playing the Redneck National Anthem, Sweet Home Alabama.
John Weekley Jr. sat in with us on rhythm guitar, and Benjamin Walters (Paul's son) "sat in" as well, with his guitar. His constant tugging at Paul's leg and attempts at stealing the microphone made singing tough, but we made it through!

Thanks, Scoot!

Paul Walters & The Handsome Hippie want to extend a special Thank You to Scoot Pittman for having us play with him at Fifty-1 on Pineville-Matthews road last night. Scoot, you are the man! Thanks again.
Check out Scoot's music on myspace.

Filter's "Take a Picture" 6.11.10

Guitar player Charlie Panosh also sat in with us on this song: Take a Picture by Filter. Even though the three of us didn't practice together, Charlie's skill was much appreciated.
Todd seemed to have a great time "bouncing musical ideas" off of Charlie. It is unfortunate that the camera was positioned a little too close to the speakers during this song, so if the moments of distortion bother you, I don't blame you for skipping over this video!

Friday, June 11th: SandTrap Bar & Billiards

Thank you to all who made it out last night to our party on the patio at Sandtrap Bar & Billiards. Located at 1923 Westinghouse Blvd. in Charlotte, Sandtrap has an awesome (and huge) patio where we had the privilege of playing last night. A special thank you to Charlie Panosh for sharing his guitar stylings. It was great to see Todd and Charlie playing guitar together, and surely a treat for all of the patio guests. Thanks for your support! A small video excerpt from this show is included.
