Wedding Venue
Tonight we played a wedding and reception for a wonderful couple, the newly pronounced Guinns. The service was wonderful, the bride was beautiful, and the music went over wonderfully. Pictures will follow soon. Thank you to these wonderful folks who allowed us to be part of their special day. Lesleigh Guinn, the bride, is a gifted photographer, and her work can be seen here. Thank you both!

The Yellow Rose at Touchstone, 9.23.10
Folks, I must appologize for the recent events page being neglected for the last couple months. We'd hate to get too repetitive with our posts. Last night at our show, however, our friend Lesleigh (http://lesleightaylorphotography.com/) was kind enough to take some photographs as we played, and they came out so well I felt obliged to share them with you. Leslegh is a gifted photographer with a fine eye for strong and dynamic composition and perspective. Contact Lesleigh if you need a photographer in the Charlotte area... and... because she flattered me, here is what she thinks of us: http://tinyurl.com/lesleighsreview.

Live at Sammy's, 7-3-2010
Thank you to the members of the great crowd we had at Sammy's last night! We hope everyone had a great kick-start to your 4th of July weekend! We had a great time playing. Happy birthday to Kristie and Mike, and thank you for choosing to spend your special night at one of our shows. There was plenty of dancing (and even hula-hooping), and it was quite obvious that a great time was had by all. Us included. Thanks, guys!

Gig Date Change!
Thank you to all our friends who came out to Crossroads Pub last night to see us play! A great crowd showed up, and we were disappointed to have to let everyone know that due to a double-booking, we were not going to play until... today. Our show was pushed back a day and I'm sorry to those whose plans were affected.
On the bright side, "The Square Roots" was there to play, so hopefully those of you who stuck around got a chance to hear them play and had a great time. We talked a bit with The Square Roots and they were a couple of very talented musicians and very gracious people.
I hope as many of you as possible can make it out tonight!

Private Party, June 4, 2010
We played a private graduation party at the beginning of June. It was tough to get video, but we were able to have someone capture an excerpt of us playing the Redneck National Anthem, Sweet Home Alabama.
John Weekley Jr. sat in with us on rhythm guitar, and Benjamin Walters (Paul's son) "sat in" as well, with his guitar. His constant tugging at Paul's leg and attempts at stealing the microphone made singing tough, but we made it through!

Thanks, Scoot!
Paul Walters & The Handsome Hippie want to extend a special Thank You to Scoot Pittman for having us play with him at Fifty-1 on Pineville-Matthews road last night. Scoot, you are the man! Thanks again.
